Assalamu'alaikum. (May Peace Be Upon You)
We've been eating as healthy as possible for our meals at home. Well, to some people eating meat is a must at least once a week... meat as in beef and mutton. But to us (my family), it is ok for us not to eat meat... Since we are used to it for very long time.
Mum tries very best not to use coconut milk (santan) and palm oil in our dishes. Why? They are obviously unhealthy for us, and most importantly for my dad.
Do you know that certain peanuts are unhealthy? And duck is unhealthy too? Thank goodness, we don't eat duck. (Not that Muslims can't eat it... we can. But we just don't eat it.) Chicken without its skin and fish are healthy. :) Eat margarine instead of butter... and the list goes on.
I hope we will always have good health. It is scary to see people suffering from chronic diseases. I shall have a balance diet from now on. InshAllah. And exercise more often. Hehe.
We can prevent.
Hmmm. My dream was supposed to study about food and its science. Oh well.
Dinner for today, ikan bakar (burnt fish... hahah sounds wrong) and vegetable soup. Healthy but I love ikan bakar! With chilli padi and kicap of cuz. :) Mmmm sedapnye.
